Finding Informatiom With Search Engines

Tuesday, December 18th, 2007

Using a Search Engine is great. I’m finally getting
somewhere. Typing the subject into the Google
search box, clicking “GO”, ta dah! A whole page
on the subject. AM I GREAT OR WHAT!!! A whole
page on the subject.

What’s this little writing at the top right side?
“Results 1-10 of about 2.180,567 entries.  What!
It will take a life time to read all that. Yes the
internet has tons of information.

Looking at the list , I can see a short description
following the web site name. There doesn’t seem
to be any order to the list. Some describe basic i
nformation, others I can’t understand, while others
don’t even seem to relate to the subject.

Didn’t anyone think of classifying this information?
Like when you go to the library or a bookstore? All
the kids books here, over there the novel, and
there the business books. Not even a clue!

Do you have a way to sort out the different types
of information? How do you tell if the information is
what your need? Send a comment or a tip that
you use.
