Health Care For Your Body

Monday, June 16th, 2008

Now that you have a few things that you can do to
prevent work place stress, here is somethings to do
when you are away from work to manage stress.

Always get plenty of rest.

Your body needs from 7 to 8 hours of rest nightly to
regenerate from the physical strain. This helps you
to have a clear thinking mind and a good source of
energy when you awake.

If you cheat your body of its’ rest, you may spend
the day trying to work with a foggy mind and not be
able to concentrate clearly on the work at hand. You
will become easily confused and become frustrated.
Thus your emotions will be hard to control.

Don’t forget to eat a good breakfast so you will have
the energy to start your workday off right.

Nothing worse than having no energy until break
time, when you finally get something into your
system, then trying to play catch up from the
morning and still keep up with the other work
you need to do.

That will add alot of stress to your system.

Your body needs its’ rest. And no one can provide rest
but you. So take care of your body and your body will
stay healthy for a long time.

You are responsible for your heath care.

Tip to Manage Stress at Work

Thursday, June 12th, 2008

Are you always a “yes” person even though you don’t
want to be?

Everyone knows they can get you to do their jobs for
them. If you are the office gopher and get paid for
that job then you have no problem.

But if you are just shy or don’t know how to say “no”
very well, here are a few things to help you to
say”no” and let people know you mean no.

The first thing is to decide if the person asking you is
important. If it is a boss or someone who can
influence your job, then it is best to say yes. You
can ask for help if needed.

Say your friend Mary ask for your help. You don’t
really have the time but she is your friend. Mary,
you know the one who does more socializing
than work.

Well how improtant is it to you? If you think she
is your friend because you are at her beckon call,
then you need to start saying no to her every
request.

That will give you less work to do. She may not be
your friend anymore but then who needs a friend
that only wants you to do their work.

Trying to work at today’s hectic pace is hard enough
without so called friends who use you for their own
benefit.

Decrease your work load and your Stress will decrease.

How To Manage Office Stress Caused By Co Worker

Friday, June 6th, 2008

What can you do when a co worker refuses to do
his/her share of the work?

If it is a job that everyone is responsilbe for such
as cleaning up the table after your break, you could
try to approach the person. While he is on break, you
can politely request that he cleans up the table since
others have to use it after him.

Some people will not get the hint, so you may have
to speak to some one in charge. Be sure that the
accused person is one making the mess, then request
the person in charge to speak to him.

When making your request stated it as a fact, I
noticed that John doesn’t clean the break table
after he is finished with his break.

Then explain what problems this causes, when the
next person goes to eat, they have to clean up his
mess before they can eat, which leaves less time to
relax or eat.

Since some people will not change you may have to
live with the problem. In that case try to have your
break before John does or use another area for your
break.

If this problem is also causing stress to other, try to
use the group approach to the person in charge. Some
times more voices show that there is a problem and
something will be done to fix the situation.

Working in an office with various persons from
different background and customs can be
stressful. The key is trying to find a solution that
will decrease the stress for everyone involved.
