Finding Informatiom With Search Engines

Using a Search Engine is great. I’m finally getting
somewhere. Typing the subject into the Google
search box, clicking “GO”, ta dah! A whole page
on the subject. AM I GREAT OR WHAT!!! A whole
page on the subject.

What’s this little writing at the top right side?
“Results 1-10 of about 2.180,567 entries.  What!
It will take a life time to read all that. Yes the
internet has tons of information.

Looking at the list , I can see a short description
following the web site name. There doesn’t seem
to be any order to the list. Some describe basic i
nformation, others I can’t understand, while others
don’t even seem to relate to the subject.

Didn’t anyone think of classifying this information?
Like when you go to the library or a bookstore? All
the kids books here, over there the novel, and
there the business books. Not even a clue!

Do you have a way to sort out the different types
of information? How do you tell if the information is
what your need? Send a comment or a tip that
you use.

The best suggestion I have to add your searching is to add more specific words to your search. If you wanted to find information on how you can improve your memory, you might start out with “memory” and this will get information about remembering something, computer memory and a whole lot of other things. You might want to add to it - “memory improvement” etc.

One other tip - if you are looking for a specific phrase - chiropractors in your city, then put quotes around the entire phase and Google will as example (”New York City chiropractic services”).

    I hope that helps
