It is my understanding that anxiety attacks don't go away, but you learn to
live with them. What happens is that the intensity decreases so they can be
managed.

I was hit by a car from behind while I was stopped at a red light. I got over the accident, but a few times I have caught myself looking in the rear view mirror when I go to stop at a traffic light to be sure I don't get hit again.

I`ve also suffered from anxiety attacks for more than for years. It was horrible. I finally managed to overcome it. What you need is to first accept it even before starting to treat it. Accepting and facing it is one of the most important key factors to your healing.

Exercies and body relaxation methods will help. However medication is not the cure. It`s a short time relief and nothing more.
