Internet Marketing Statistics

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

While doing some research today I found some
interesting fact about internet marketing. According
to the Census Bureau of the Department of Commerce,
there were 136.4 BILLION dollars of sales from the i
nternet during the year of 2007.

There are only 40% of the largest companies
represented in this figure. Does that mean that a lot
of small companies and individuals are making some
good money form their own internet business?

A quick look at some other statistics.

eBay has become a big business with people selling
every thing you can imagine. Most are individuals, not
companies.

Google made billion of dollars last year. That income
was in part from Adsense and AdWords. Grant some
companies are using Adsense and AdWords, but I
think there are other users. Many can be found on
the internet offering their programs for Adsense and
AdWords.

Sure maybe there are some false claims but there are
too many for all to be false. Thinking of making money
on the internet?

Statistics prove you may have a good change,
if done correctly.

NEW WEB 2.0

Sunday, March 9th, 2008

Internet Marketing has change, its now called the
NEW WEB 2.0
What is so new about the web? You will say YouTube,
Squidoo, Stumbleupon, Digg, video and audio on
web sites.

But are they really new? The technology used is not
new.Training films have been used by the military and
large corporations for years.

Many people will remember the old home movies that
people use to take of the kids growing, graduations,
weddings and all those travel trips taken. These have
been around for years.

The new thing is now anyone can place videos or
audio on a web site. The technology has finally
become priced low enough for people to afford.
It doesn’t take a lot of expensive equipment or
a technical background to get a quality product.

The general public now have the say in what they
want. Big corporations no longer control the market.
It has been a long slow grind, but finally the people
are to compete with big companies, and many times
the big companies are loosing.

Funny Terms You Need To Know

Friday, February 1st, 2008

In the English language words can mean different
things. Many common words used on the internet
convey different meanings.

A sales page that tells about using the ” back end”
to produce more income, does not suggest using a
body part. It is a way to describe the sales process.
The front end is when you come into a store
through the door,or first see the web site. You enter
the first part of the sale process.

The sales presentation is given. You accept the offer.
Then you are taken to another page that show a
special offer. It may be for a bigger. better, more bells
and whistles version of the product. Or it could be for
something to be used with the product such as an
extra ink cartridge for your new printer. And that is
how the back end is used to sell more to the customer.

Next time you see a product that is at a great low
price and you think- how can someone sell at that
price?- remember there may be a back end product
to help with the low price product.

Click on “comment” and tell if you ever seen this back
end product sell used on any web sites that you
purchased from.
